Arapahoe Basin

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, known as A-Basin, is a renowned ski and snowboard resort located in Colorado. Founded in 1946 by veterans of the 10th Mountain Division, it features over 1,400 skiable acres and is celebrated for its challenging terrain and long ski season. A-Basin operates under Alterra Mountain Company and is recognized for its commitment to sustainability, achieving carbon neutrality in 2023. The resort offers a variety of steep runs and bowls, catering primarily to advanced skiers and snowboarders. With a summit elevation exceeding 13,000 feet, A-Basin often boasts the longest ski season in Colorado, frequently extending into late spring or summer. The resort's facilities include the Black Mountain Lodge and A-Frame Lodge, and it fosters a vibrant community atmosphere that emphasizes adventure and inclusivity.
